Charlotte Cottage is within the village Conservation Area, metres from St Leonard's Church, The Fleece Inn and the beautiful architecture of The Cross, The Manor and Bretforton Hall. A short walk right past the Church takes you to the Community Club and Community Shop, or left takes you to the fields where Appleby Farm graze their organic herd - (they also used to make ice cream - named Spot Loggins after one of the local ghosts!
There's always plenty going on in the village, and the community spirit, together with the feel and look of Bretforton led to a Channel 4 appearance - nominated for UK Village of the Year!
Particular events to look out for include the Wassail, Blossom Trail, Asparagus Festival, BretFest and Bretforton Proms plus there's Farm Open Days, concerts and beer festivals, as well as weekly music sessions at the Fleece, village and school fetes, morris festivals, bell ringing - it goes on!
